UFO Documents And Photos Release At U.S. National Archives, 1948-1968

This series consists of redacted investigative reports and correspondence relating to sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs). The reports include brief information on the particular sighting, such as where and when the sighting occurred and the individual that reported it. Each report also includes an individual identification number.

The remaining pages of the reports often include correspondence about the investigation and correspondence from the individual that witnessed the sighting. The records were maintained by the Project Blue Book Office and its predecessor, but there are files relating to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
